About Us
Ten years ago, we were homeowners calling contractors about our yard. We'd watch them pull up, spend fifteen minutes looking around, then hand us a quote that felt disconnected from what we actually needed. They weren't bad people. They were just busy.
One summer, after the third contractor missed a callback, my wife said, 'Why don't we just do this ourselves?' We started small—learning about soil, about which plants actually survive in our climate, about why the mulch we bought last year had already decomposed. We made mistakes. We pulled plants that were dormant, not dead. We overwatered. We learned.
When neighbors started asking what changed in our yard, we'd help them on weekends. We'd spend two hours on a Saturday explaining why their oak tree was struggling, or showing them how to prep a garden bed so it wouldn't wash away in the spring. There was something honest about standing in someone's backyard, dirt under your fingernails, actually solving the problem instead of just making it look prettier.
That's when we realized we'd found something worth doing. Not as a side hustle, but as a business. We decided to do landscaping the way we'd want someone to do it for us.
'People don't want a prettier yard. They want a yard that makes sense—for their home, their climate, their life.'
— The Family
Being locally owned means we're not rotating crews through here. We see the same yards in spring and summer and fall. We notice when a client's new kids need more open space, or when they decide to finally tackle that corner no one uses. Because we're here, we remember.
Family-run, we move slower than bigger companies, but we think longer-term. We know one project shouldn't wreck your schedule or your sense of home. Every conversation starts with questions—real ones—not sales questions. What do you actually use your yard for? What takes you time? What would feel like relief? These answers shape everything we do.
We've learned that 'solutions to all your landscaping needs' doesn't mean building something expensive. It means fixing the drainage issue you've ignored. It means the right plant in the right spot so you're not replacing it every two years. It means showing up when we say we will, explaining what we're doing and why, and leaving your property better than we found it.
When you work with us, you get people who actually live here, who know this ground and this weather, who see your yard as part of the neighborhood we're invested in. You get our time, our attention, and honest advice—even when that advice is 'maybe wait another season' instead of 'let's start tomorrow.'
If you're ready to talk about what your yard actually needs, we're here. Give us a call, or stop by. We'll walk through your space, listen to what matters to you, and tell you what we think. No pressure. No pitch. Just two people who care about landscaping, talking to you about yours.
